An optometrist from Canada has developed a radical new type of eye surgery that gives many of us with impaired vision what we’ve always wanted – not just perfect vision, but superhuman vision.
Dr. Garth Webb has developed a new bionic lens for your eye that gives humans triple 20/20 vision at any age. It’s called Ocumetics Bionic Lens, and it could be a radical gamechanger for those with macular disorders.
No more reading glasses, no more invasive contacts, and anyone over 25 is an ideal candidate for the surgery.
“This is vision enhancement that the world has never seen before,” says Dr. Webb “If you can just barely see the clock at 10 feet, when you get the Bionic Lens you can see the clock at 30 feet away.”
The surgery is fast and painless, all told taking about 8 minutes. There’s next to no recovery time too. Your vision is simply corrected immediately and permanently.

The project has been in development now for eight years and has cost a total of $3 million to perfect. It all started with Dr. Webb’s mission to permanently correct his own poor vision, as well as others like him who’ve had to use eyeglasses since childhood.
“My heroes were cowboys, and cowboys just did not wear glasses,” Dr. Webb says. And doctors all over the world are intrigued by his development.
“I think this device is going to bring us closer to the holy grail of excellent vision at all ranges — distant, intermediate and near,” said Dr. Vincent DeLuise, an ophthalmologist who teaches at Yale University as well as Weill Cornell Medical College in New York.
