Fuel scarcity...

Photo: Long queues appear in Lagos filling stations.

long queues are beginning to appear at fuel stations in different parts of lagos, as motorists have to wait for hours before getting their fuel tanks filled.

At Forte Oil, in Ojuelegba, where the queue is still minimal, and gradually increasing, a female attendant disclosed that ‘hoarding’ of fuel by some stations is directly responsible for the queues.

The fuel dispensing attendant stated that some filling stations are not offering sales, which has led to the ripple effect of long queues being recorded at the filling stations that are selling.

She spoke further by highlighting on the unwillingness of some of the manufacturers to distribute fuel to fillings stations is another factor responsible for the lack of fuel in some filling stations, consequently, leading to queues in others.
